Quinceañera Party Rentals in Virginia: What You Need and What It Really Costs
She gets one quinceañera. Here is everything the backyard version needs, how big each piece should be for your guest list, and two complete budgets with every dollar shown.
Short answer: A backyard quinceañera in Virginia needs a tent, a dance floor, round tables, nice chairs and a throne chair for the quinceañera. At Pepe's Party Rental that runs about $1,900 for 60 guests and about $2,800 for 100 guests, with delivery, setup and takedown included within 25 miles of Stafford.
- Size the tent for seated guests plus the dance floor: 60 guests with a 12x12 floor needs a 20x60.
- Gold or silver throne chair $175. Gold chiavari chairs $5. 60 inch rounds $12.
- Dance floors: 12x12 $350, 15x15 $425, 18x18 $500, 21x21 $550.
- Book the throne early: we have 2 gold and 1 silver for the whole region.
A quinceañera is not a birthday party. It's the waltz, the change of shoes, the last doll, the toast, and 80 relatives who flew in and are going to remember every detail. Including the chairs.
So here is the whole rental list for a backyard quinceañera in Stafford, Fredericksburg or Northern Virginia, how to size each piece for your guest count, and two complete budgets with every dollar shown.
What rentals do you need for a quinceañera?
A backyard quinceañera needs six things from a rental company: a tent big enough for seated guests plus the dance floor, a dance floor, round tables, nicer chairs than the folding kind, a throne chair for the quinceañera, and lights for after sunset. Then add 3 or 4 plain tables for the food, the cake, the gifts and the last doll. Pepe's Party Rental delivers, sets up and takes down all of it.
| Item | Price |
|---|---|
| Event tent, 20x60 or 30x60 | $830 / $1,350 |
| Dance floor, 12x12 to 21x21 | $350 to $550 |
| Throne chair, gold or silver | $175 |
| Gold chiavari chair with cushion | $5 each |
| 60 inch round table (seats 8) | $12 each |
| 6 ft table for food, cake and gifts | $9 each |
| LED string lights, 120 ft | $50 |
| Outdoor propane heater | $170 |
What size tent and dance floor do I need?
Plan 15 to 20 square feet of tent per seated guest, then add the dance floor on top. For 60 guests with a 12x12 floor, that's 900 to 1,200 square feet of seating plus 144 for dancing, which points to a 20x60 tent (1,200 square feet). For 100 guests with a 15x15 floor, you need about 1,700 to 2,200 square feet, which is a 30x60 tent (1,800 square feet). Our tent size guide has the full chart.
For the dance floor, 12x12 ($350) handles the waltz and the family dances for about 60 guests. A dancing family of 100 wants 15x15 ($425) or 18x18 ($500). Our floor panels lock together into one level surface on grass, dirt or uneven ground, so nobody's heels sink into the lawn.
Do you rent a throne chair for the quinceañera?
Yes. Pepe's Party Rental rents an ornate throne chair for $175 a day, in gold or silver, with a cushioned seat. It's where she sits for the change of shoes, and it's where half the photos of the night get taken. We have two gold thrones and one silver, so on a busy Saturday they're the first thing to go. If the throne matters to you, book it first and build the rest of the order around it.

What extras make a quinceañera night?
Heaters for fall and winter. A quinceañera in October or March gets cold after sunset. Our propane patio heaters are $170 each, propane included, and each one warms 10 to 15 feet in every direction. See our cold weather tent guide.
Sidewalls. $25 per 20 ft panel, window or solid. Two on the windy side keep the breeze off the cake.
The Beast mechanical bull. $700 for three hours with a trained operator. Riders 6 and up. Nothing gets the chambelanes and the uncles on their feet faster.
