Listen. A bounce house keeps kids busy. A water slide is the thing they talk about at school on Monday. It's also the rental parents ask the most questions about, because it involves water, a hose, a big footprint and a price tag that's more than double a bounce house.
So here is all of it in one place: every water slide we rent, the real price, how much yard you need, and the one thing you have to provide yourself.
How much does a water slide rental cost in Stafford, VA?
At Pepe's Party Rental in Stafford, a water slide costs $450 to $480 for the day. These are full-size commercial slides, 18 to 22 feet tall with 35 to 40 feet of slide and a splash landing pool at the bottom, not the thin backyard inflatables sold at big box stores. Every price below covers one day with up to 8 hours of use, and because every slide is over our $150 minimum, delivery, setup and takedown are free within 25 miles of Stafford.
| Water slide | Footprint | Price per day |
|---|---|---|
| Tropical Water Slide | 14x37 ft | $450 |
| T-Rex Water Slide | 14x37 ft | $480 |
| NASA Water Slide | 18x36 ft, 21 ft tall | $480 |
| WaveSplash (slide + bounce) | 16x34 ft, 20 ft tall | $480 |
| Sunshine Combo (slide + bounce) | 16x34 ft, 20 ft tall | $480 |
The WaveSplash and the Sunshine Combo are the two-in-one units: a bounce area plus a tall water slide. If you have kids who want to jump between runs, those two give you more for the same $480. Want the slide plus seating and shade? The Summer Splash Party Package bundles a water slide with more at $749.
How much space does a water slide need?
Plan for a flat, clear strip of lawn at least as big as the footprint, plus a few feet of clearance on every side. Our water slides take up 14x37 feet (Tropical and T-Rex), 16x34 feet (WaveSplash and Sunshine Combo) or 18x36 feet (NASA). That is a long, narrow shape, so measure the length of your yard, not just the width. Grass is ideal. Our crew confirms the space with you when you book, and they set up 1 to 2 hours before your party starts.
What do I need for water and power?
Two things: a garden hose and an outdoor spigot within 100 feet of the slide. The water runs continuously down the slide surface, and Pepe's Party Rental says the water use is about the same as running a sprinkler. The hose is the one thing we do not bring, so check yours reaches before party day. The blower that keeps the slide inflated is included. No power at your spot? A portable generator rents for $80 a day, gas included.
What ages are water slides safe for?
Pepe's Party Rental recommends its water slides for kids ages 5 to 14, with younger children supervised at all times. The slides are designed for one rider at a time going feet first, and our crew reviews the safety rules with you at setup. One more rule people miss: don't run a water slide dry. The surface is made to work with water, and dry sliding can cause friction burns and damage the vinyl. If you want a dry slide for a cooler day, rent a combo bounce house instead.
When is the best time to rent a water slide in Virginia?
Water slides are seasonal rentals, best from May through September in Virginia. Those are also the busiest months, and we own one of each slide, so summer Saturdays go first. If your party lands in spring or fall, a bounce house, a combo with a dry slide, or the mechanical bull gives you the same wow without anyone shivering in a wet swimsuit. And if a storm rolls in on your date, Pepe's Party Rental reschedules for free. Light rain does not stop delivery or setup.

Every water slide is over our $150 free-delivery minimum, so delivery is free within 25 driving miles of our Stafford shop. Past 25 miles, a flat distance fee applies.
